Culture Night at An Táin Arts Centre

Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. 

Join the team at An Táin Arts Centre for a packed evening of family friendly entertainment to celebrate this years Culture Night. 

There is a selection of events including live music, film screenings and visual arts.

  • Orwell's 84 - Join Dundalk's own Orwell's 84 as they perform an acoustic playlist on the main stage from their debut album. 
  • Children's Drama Workshop with Kelly Kierans - Get ready to unleash your imagination with "What is Your Dream?", a high energy creative workshop with facilitator Kelly Kierans. There are two sessions, one for 6-8 year old and one for ages 9+. 
  • Bó Studios Open Night - Bó studios will open its doors to the public so pop in and have a chat with the artists about their practice and work. 
  • Exhibition 'Liminal Echoes' - Els Borghart - insightful exhibition of portraits following sessions with members of the Ukrainian Community.  
  • Reading of "The Big House" - an original play by local author Conor McGinnity 
  • Dundalk Youth Centre: Emergence - Join four piece band Ecstasy and soloist Adam O'Hanlon, performing as part of the music sessions in An Táin. 
  • Late Night Gallery 'Flux' and Screen Printing session with Artist in Residence Moya Gibney - 
  • Ageism Project Film Screenings - filmed with the Louth Age Friendly Programme and funded by Creative Ireland Louth, these films were created as part of an ageism awareness project. Screenings will be between 6 and 9pm in the studio theatre. 
  • "Breastfriends" screening by Eleanor Rogers - screening of short film by former Filmmaker in Resident, Eleanor Rogers. 
  • Face Painting and Balloon Twisting - Head down to the basement gallery to get your face painted and learn how to twist balloons with Jess Downey. 
  • Pulling Threads, with Geansaí - a fresh voice on the Irish music scene, Geansaí will perform on the main stage. 
  • Short Film Screenings - by former Filmmaker in Residence Jaro Waldeck.
